Profile
I am a first-year student at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, where I am majoring in Critical Theory and Social Justice and minoring in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. My academic interests center on the intersection of education, law, and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
At Occidental College, I am actively engaged in both advocacy and leadership across campus. I am involved with Stand With Survivors, supporting initiatives that promote survivor-centered resources and accountability. I work in the Office of the Dean of Students, where I help foster a campus environment grounded in care, equity, and student support. Beyond campus administration and advocacy, I serve on the board of Planned Parenthood, contributing to outreach and education efforts around reproductive health and rights. I also captain Occidental’s Mock Trial team, leading case strategy, mentoring new members, and strengthening our competitive presence. Together, these roles reflect my commitment to justice, whether through policy, advocacy, or the practice of law.
Alongside my academic and policy work, I have been a private math tutor for the past 2 years, working with elementary through college students, with a focus on supporting neurodivergent learners. My teaching approach emphasizes clarity, patience, and confidence-building—values that mirror my broader commitment to equitable education.
Before beginning college, I graduated Valedictorian from Royal High School in Simi Valley, California, earning a full International Baccalaureate Diploma with a 4.82 GPA. I was President of my school’s Pride Club and volunteered with organizations including the Diversity Collective and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). I was a 13-year Girl Scout and was named Girl Scout of the Year by Girl Scouts of Central California Coast in Spring 2025. As a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, an honor achieved by fewer than 5% of eligible Girl Scouts, I designed and implemented a training curriculum for educators and community leaders on pronoun usage and gender-inclusive language. I have since expanded this program to support schools, workplaces, and organizations in fostering inclusive environments.
I am also a recipient of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Congressional Medals and was honored with the 2024 Women of the Year Award from California Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin for my advocacy work.
At Occidental, I am focused on integrating scholarship and activism, using critical theory, policy research, and community engagement to help build more inclusive educational systems and institutions.
